The C’Chartres VB, always ambitious on the attack, of its championship

It left for a new attempt. And, this time, if the Covid finally lets sporting life take its course normally, the C’Chartres VB will have the opportunity to test its ambitions to the end.

So far, the CCVB, set up in 2019, has not had the chance to make a full National 2 season. Its premiere ended in March 2020, after thirteen matches. His second last year only lasted three games.

“We want to continue to develop”

These two premature stops in the championship and this long period of unrest did not affect the objectives of the club led by Jean-Baptiste Baron Del Amo, who also became the chairman of the Eure-et-Loir committee.

The CCVB, now n ° 1 in the department with a budget of 160,000 € and already 230 made redundant at the start of the school year, keeps the desire to look higher. “We have to be honest, we are not going to play the maintenance! We want to continue to develop and becoming an Elite would push us to structure ourselves more, ”explains Del Amo.

C’Chartres recruits two young Bulgarians

The rise to the third national level is not announced as an imperative, before attacking Sunday in Villers-Cotterêts (Aisne). But Chartres imagines fighting at the top of the table.

He seems to have the sporting means. Still in office, player-coach Marouane Chtioui lost three players but recovered four: two young Bulgarians, Rusko Tonev and Aleksandar Ivanov, and two ex-Fleury-les-Aubrais, Quentin Dunou and Valentin Lezeaud, who knew the N2.

Wider workforce

On the preparatory side, the first outings (4-1 in Antony and 2-2 in Sucy-en-Brie) were promising. “On paper, we have a great team. The squad, with twelve players, is a little larger and allows me to have more solutions, ”slips Marouane Chtioui.

The unknown is the level of the opponents. In a pool of ten clubs (twelve last year) and reshuffled, the competition may be tough. The PUC and Tours, alone, training centers, continued to train last season and are announced among the favorites.

“We do not really know where to stand in relation to our opponents, recognizes Marouane Chtioui. We will be fixed over the matches and going fishing for the news. We will then be able to see if we are able to compete. ” Until the end ?
