Beaten in the first leg in Normandy (3-2), the players of C’Chartres TT took their revenge against SPO Rouen, 4e by ProA. Ideally launched by Bence Majoros, victorious over the young Adrien Rassenfosse (3-1), the locals were overtaken for a time by the former Chartrain Robert Gardos (n°3), victorious over the Hungarian (3-1), then by his compatriot Adam Szudi, clear winner of Florent Lambiet (3-1).
Majoros reverses the trend
But Emmanuel Rassouw’s men managed to reverse the trend thanks to their strong link, Bence Majoros, victorious over the former European doubles champion, after a fourth meeting as decisive as it was hooked, won 3-1 (4-11, 11-9, 11-8, 12-10).
This duel in the pocket and with 2 everywhere, Vitor Ishiy only had to finish the job against Rassenfosse. Led 8-10 in the third set, after conceding the second, the Brazilian overthrew his opponent to win 13-11. He finally won this fifth match 3-1 (11-8, 4-11, 13-11, 15-13), score of the evening.
With this success, the men of the CCTT come within three points of their evening opponent in the standings. They have an appointment on Friday in Pontoise-Cergy, on the occasion of the 14e ProA day.
