The C’Chartres Basket Masculin chain wins, but suffering

The reunion with the public in Chartres, after seven months of hiatus, was difficult, but happy, for the basketball players of C’Chartres Basket Masculin, with this second victory in as many games.

The reaction of Sébastien Lambert, the CCBM coach

Sébastien Lambert’s men dominated the Vosges (104-94), four days after a great success, including a fiery fourth quarter, in Andrézieux … and before continuing with a delicate trip to Le Havre, Friday, October 9.

Chartres is off to a good start in Andrézieux

After a somewhat disjointed first quarter (26-24), the CCBM could not stand out in the second act despite an efficient but nervous Maxwell (half-time: 43-44).

Faced with a formation from the Vosges that was very difficult to maneuver, the CCBM relied on its executives, Olivier Romain, at three points and naturally the American Du’Vaughn Maxwell, still as valuable as ever. But that was not enough. In the GET Vosges camp, the leader Kiady Razanamaeenina (27 points) was a real poison (70-73, 30 ‘).

The C’Chartres Basket Masculin must be wary of the GET Vosges

The CCBM coughed its basketball at the beginning of this last act. Often whistled, the Chartrains were always behind (76-79, 34 ‘). Kamel Ammour under the circle then Maxwell in counterattack finally gave color to the Chartrains (83-80, 35 ‘).

Back in front, the Vosges (83-88, 37 ‘) played with the nerves of the Chartrains. The money-time promised to be hot and it was! Diarra then Siegwarth restored a point lead at 2’21 from the end (90-89), then Diarra (again) equalized at 1’18 (92-92). The defense in Chartres held on, Maxwell stole a good ball that Romain brought to fruition, with the fault, (98-92, 39’20). 42 seconds to play, 42 seconds to suffer.

Siegwarth signed the hundredth point on a free throw and finally the CCBM won by ten points 104-94. How hard it was!
