On Friday morning, February 25, 2022, there was a rear-end collision between two cars in the construction site area of the Nersingen junction on the A7 motorway in the direction of Würzburg.
When the vehicles came to a standstill and the injured party wanted to speak to the 41-year-old who caused the accident, he noticed the smell of alcohol on his breath. When the injured party informed the police, the 41-year-old got back behind the wheel of his car and drove on unmolested. Just bad luck that he lost his front license plate at the scene of the accident and could be found quickly. But the escape did not last long, a little later the 41-year-old was stopped by a police patrol in the Giengen area and subjected to a check.
No stranger to the police
The colleagues were amazed because the man was no stranger to them and was only caught drunk at the wheel yesterday. This time, too, the man had an alcohol level of almost 3 per mille. He also no longer had a driver’s license, which was withdrawn from him by the driver’s license office several years ago. The officials ended the journey and initiated several criminal proceedings against the 41-year-old. In addition, they ordered a blood test to determine the alcohol level at the person who caused the accident. No one was injured in the accident, there was only minor fender damage.
