The cause of Prince Philip’s death is now being announced

April 9 went Queen Elizabeth’s (95) husband Prince Philip away, 99 years old. They were married for over 70 years, and the monarch thus lost a close friend and a loyal supporter.

The prince was buried in St. George’s Chapel in Windsor eight days later. It was a funeral strongly marked by the pandemic, with a guest list of only 30 people, requirements for bandages and distance rules.

Only the immediate family took part in the farewell, including the grandchildren Prince Harry (36) and William (38) who were reunited on the day of the funeral after the scandalous interview with Oprah Winfrey (67) in March.

The image of Queen Elizabeth sitting alone in the chapel when she said goodbye to her husband later went viral on social media. The image of the lone majesty was described as heartbreaking and outrageous, but was at the same time a reminder that the corona pandemic affects everyone and everyone, even the royals.

Publish the cause of death

It has now been almost a month since Prince Philip died. The prince struggled with a number of health challenges in recent years, and was hospitalized for over a month shortly before he passed away.

He was discharged in mid-March after undergoing successful heart surgery. He was originally admitted due to an infection.

The prince was nevertheless in good shape his old age taken into account, and fell asleep quietly when he died.

Details of Prince Philips’ death certificate have now been leaked, and according to a number of British media, including The Telegraph, the prince’s cause of death is old age.

The cause of death is also confirmed by the royal family’s chief physician Huw Thomas.

The death was registered on April 13, four days after the prince passed away, it appears in the death certificate. The certificate lists the prince as a naval officer, in addition to the husband of Britain’s monarch Queen Elizabeth.

Thanks for the support

On the occasion of her 95th birthday on April 21, the Queen took the opportunity to thank you for all the warm support she and the royal family experienced after Prince Philips’ death in early April.

“On the occasion of my 95th birthday today, I have received many messages with good wishes, something I value very highly,” she wrote initially in the statement.

She continued:

“While we as a family are in a period of deep sorrow, it has been a comfort to us to see and hear all the tributes to my husband, from people in Britain and throughout the Commonwealth. My family and I would like to thank you for all the support and kindness that has been shown to us in recent days. We are deeply moved, and continue to be reminded that Prince Philip had an extraordinary impact on people throughout his life.
