Meanwhile, Joan Mir had to settle for ending the race in sixth position, despite starting the race from eighth position. While his teammate, Alex Rins is right behind him, which is the seventh position.
After the race, Joan Mir admitted that he was very disappointed. He hoped to get better results. The 24-year-old racer explained that the rear tire problem was the cause of the failure to achieve maximum results at the Qatar 2022 MotoGP.
“A very disappointing race, I expected more. My start was good and I enjoyed the first few laps, but unfortunately I had a problem with the rear wheel grip,” said Joan Mir as quoted by Speedweek, Monday (7/3/2022).
He regretted that the GSX-RR motorcycle had problems with the rear wheels. In fact, after going through a series of pre-season tests to the MotoGP free race this season, he felt that his motorbike had no significant problems. It’s just that, when the race officially started, it was bad luck that befell him.
