RACERS Monster Energy Yamaha, Fabio Quartararo didn’t make it into the top five in two free practice sessions Moto GP Qatar 2022. In fact, his name was scattered up to 11th place, when the first free practice took place, on Friday, March 5, 2022.
Even so, Fabio Quartararo’s performance improved quite a bit, in the second free practice session on the same day. The reigning MotoGP 2021 champion, rose to eighth position. However, his achievements remain the subject of public discussion, because they cannot penetrate the top three positions.
Regarding that, Fabio Quartararo has a defense. He admitted that he felt uncomfortable, riding his motorbike.
Since winter, he has indeed complained about the lack of development that Yamaha has put into his engine. This team often creates a high speed deficit with other racers.
“For me at the moment, I feel different. I didn’t feel very comfortable because on one lap, even in the test, I didn’t feel so great. But today I missed something strange,” Quartararo said, quoted on the Motorsports page, Saturday (5/3/2022).
“I was fast in the first two sectors, but we missed something and we need to understand why and we have to finish it tomorrow, because our position is not safe. So we will see if we can be even faster or not.”
