The drama series Eyeballs has won the Golden Televizier Ring. The television award was presented at the annual Golden Televizier-Ring gala in the Royal Theater Carré.

Voting was possible online and by telephone from 8 p.m. Other nominees for the evening’s main award were B&B Full of love (RTL) in The Orange Summer (SBS).

Eyeballs is a drama series about adolescent stress and parental suffering within four completely different families. The series has been broadcast by BNNVARA on NPO 1 since January 2019.

Below is an overview of all prizes and their winners:

Golden Televizier Ring – Eyeballs (BNNVARA)

Televizier-Ring Actor – Bertrie Wierenga (GTST)

Televizier-Ring Online video series – Police (Police 24/7)

Televizier-Ring Youth – Steven & Jamie Kazàn with their program Road to Vegas (AVROTROS)

Television Ring Impact – Farewell concert Rob de Nijs (Broadcaster Max)

Televizier-Ring Presenter – Hélène Hendriks, presenter at SBS6

Televizier-Ring Talent – Noah Vahle

Bertrie Wieringa played in this year GTST a character who, according to the Televizier organization, faced quite a challenge and which was appreciated by the viewer with the prize for best actor. This year she could also be seen as Mary Magdalene in The Passion.

Sensitive chord

The Televizier-Ster Impact went to Rob de Nijs’ farewell concert. The singer had to stop singing because he suffers from Parkinson’s disease.

The prize was received by his wife Henriëtte. “Rob said to me today: don’t count on it, Jet. But what a wonderful prize. Beautiful because Rob’s life’s work has touched so many people. And that’s what it’s all about. Touching people’s hearts. This prize is a crowning achievement. his career.”

The Impact category is relatively new. The prize was created for a program, documentary or interview that, according to the organization, “strikes a chord with the public” or “leads to a discussion that helps Dutch society move forward”.

This prize was awarded for the first time last year to Tim Hofman’s program Boosfor the revelations about the sexually inappropriate behavior at The Voice of Holland.

Helene Hendriks

Since last year there has also been no separate award for female and male presenters. This year the award for best presenter went to Hélène Hendriks, who, among others The Orange Summer presented on SBS 6.

In her speech she said that many people who do not work in showbiz deserve a similar honor, because they also work very hard but are less in the spotlight.

Just see you here

Last year the TV program won Just see you here the Golden Televizier Ring. In it, comedians Niels van der Laan and Jeroen Woe present the news of the week in a satirical way.
