The cases of coronavirus rise to 57 in Jalisco; 4 remain asymptomatic

Despite the fact that the Federal Government platform reports 46 cases of COVID-19 in Jalisco (the same since March 24), the Ministry of Health Jalisco (SSJ) reported that there are already 53, in addition to four asymptomatic. Altogether 57 positive coronavirus tests.

As reported by the agency “These results are not in the national statistics presented tonight, as they were obtained after the federal court (which is done at 1:00 p.m.) “

Further, the SSJ 225 suspect cases are under study, pending confirmation or dismissal.

To the date, six people of those confirmed as positive (sick and asymptomatic) have required hospitalization: two were discharged for improvement; a third person re-entered (her condition is considered delicate); a 55-year-old male patient died in a hospital of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS); two remain hospitalized in serious condition (in an ISSSTE hospital and in a private one).

The confirmed cases are concentrated in the municipalities of Zapopan and Guadalajara, although three were registered in the interior of the state, in the municipality of Cuautla. The highest proportion of infections occurs in males (64 percent).

The Ministry explained that 169 cases have already been totally ruled out, while they still give daily follow-up to 375 people, including those who have the disease, asymptomatic carriers and contacts (people with whom they lived).

Case of COVID-19 discarded at the Central Nueva

After an employee of the New Trucking Center identified himself as a suspect carrying COVID-19 on March 24, this 25 of the same month was discarded.

According to Salud Jalisco, the person was identified in the Sanitary Prevention and Detection Modules of the New Trucking Center as a suspected case.

The man, 49 years old and a resident of Cuautepec, Mexico City, is a bus operator and arrived in the State of Jalisco on March 24.

Upon arrival at the terminal located in the municipality of Tlaquepaque, he reported that he started with symptoms such as fever, cough, headache and muscle pain two days earlier (on March 22), for which he was transferred at the request of the company in which works at an IMSS hospital, for their care and where they took a laboratory sample that, in the end, was negative.
