PERUGIA – In the turmoil of the story of the cat Hiro, who disappeared in Spoleto, the local prosecutor’s office opens a new file, for an investigation which this time also involves Nino Frassica. The well-known actor and comedian, from the cast of the fiction “Don Matteo”, is also registered in the register of suspects in a second file opened on the matter, following another complaint from one of the two Spoleto families who on social media they had been indicated as the possible owners of the feline owned by the Sicilian actor’s family.

The hypotheses of crime against Frassica and his wife are very serious Barbara Exignotis and her daughter (the latter both also investigated in another proceeding). The investigation entrusted to the deputy prosecutor Alessandro Tanalaunched following the spiral of suspicions and accusations regarding the disappearance of the animal, is in fact proceeding on charges of aggravated defamation, stalking, private violence, trespass and incitement to commit crime.

The mystery of the missing feline, which became a fuss and ended up in the prosecutor’s office, began in September, during the last phase of filming of the well-known drama in Spoleto. The disappearance of the Frassica family cat was followed by social appeals from the actor and his family, the offer of a reward to whoever found it, but also a series of hypotheses put forward on social media about the house where the animal lived he would be a refugee. A mix that sparked a hunt for the animal for weeks, with a multitude of volunteers flocking to the Umbrian town in search of Hiro and the related reward.

“The offer of a reward to whoever brought the cat back gave rise to a series of allegations and a hunt for the animal,” explains the lawyer. Fabrizio Gentili, which assists the plaintiffs, who intend to put an end to the accusations that have seen them implicated in the affair. “We are very worried”, adds the lawyer a Republic, “for the new phase of filming of the drama scheduled in Spoleto for Saturday 20 January, because we fear that the commotion that has involved my clients in recent months will be unleashed again”.
