REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KARAWANG – The Health Office of Karawang Regency, West Java, stated that cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DBD) in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 are quite high. There were 278 dengue cases since the beginning of the year until the last week of May 2021.
“DHF cases are spread across a number of sub-districts in Karawang,” said Acting Head of the Karawang Health Service, Nanik Jodjana, in Karawang, Monday (24/5).
He said, of the 30 sub-districts in Karawang, there are a number of districts that are considered prone to the spread of dengue. The sub-districts include Telukjambe Timur, West Karawang, East Karawang, Klari and Cikampek districts.
For this reason, people are urged to routinely maintain the cleanliness of the home environment, especially water reservoirs. Because it can become a nest for mosquitoes. He said the case of dengue disease itself occurs because the behavior of people who do not pay attention to environmental cleanliness.
