The case against the San Francisco prosecutor brought to trial

The entire investigation stage has been completed and now it will be raffled off which chamber will judge the federal official. The investigation was commanded by the Villa María prosecutor, María Marta Schianni, and it all began with the criminal complaint made by Pablo Luis Gonzáles, manager of the Las Cañitas tambera cooperative, in the town of El Tío.

According to what was revealed after the investigation, Darío Rivarola, an ordinance of the Federal Justice of San Francisco, asked González for two million pesos so that the prosecutor would not investigate alleged irregularities of the cooperative. They understood that there were no such irregularities, they did not have to pay any bribery and they appeared before the Justice.

On the other hand, there is a second event where meetings were held in which money was received so that, supposedly, the federal prosecutor trafficked influence with the provincial Justice, in this case from Bell Ville; all this to avoid worsening the procedural situation of a young man, whose father (who paid the money) lived in Pozo del Molle.

The young man is Agustín Brugnoni, accused and arrested for sexual abuse, and to alleviate his judicial situation is that the father gave employees of the federal prosecutor’s office 17,100 dollars. Despite the fact that the prosecutor was not in person at those meetings, he is accused because in the telephone conversations they talked about the amount that had to be asked from the father and how they were going to distribute it to profit from this influence peddling.

When the investigation is carried out and raiding measures are carried out, there were 843,500 pesos and 8,900 dollars on the prosecutor’s desk. With the investigation completed, the following persons must be held criminally liable for various crimes such as influence peddling and bribes:

Luis María Viaut, federal prosecutor of San Francisco; Darío Fabián Rivarola, who worked as an ordinance in that federal prosecutor’s office; Gerardo Agustín Panero, a butcher from Las Varillas; Walter Gustavo Fattore, a property commissioner who lives in Pozo del Molle, and also Víctor Hugo Brugnoni, the farmer from Laborde, father of the young man who is detained.

Fattore and Panero are the ones who organized the meetings; They met with Rivarola to agree on how much money they should pay the federal prosecutor in order to alleviate the procedural situation of this young man who is ultimately in prison for sexually abusing a woman.

In this way, the Federal Justice of Villa María ordered that the draw of the Court be carried out where the trial will be made, through the integral management system of judicial files and that the proceedings be raised to the Oral Court in criminal-federal matters.
