Experts from the American analytical bureau JD Power made a curious ranking of the new ones cars (model 2021) with the most comfortable seats. Experts consult nearly 111,000 buyers and tenants of new cars after 90 days of operation and thus compile a list of the most comfortable seats. The place in the rating is determined by the number of complaints about the comfort of sitting in relation to 100 cars: the fewer complaints, the higher the position in the list.
The Hyundai Elantra sedan became the leader in the category of mass compact cars – the Korean bestseller scored only 5.7 points, ahead of the Honda Civic (7.5 points) and Volkswagen Golf (7.8 points). Among the larger cars, Honda Clarity won first place with 5.3 points, although the second and third positions are very close – Dodge Charger (5.5 points) and Nissan Maxima (5.8 points).
The compact crossover Nissan Rogue (known in Bulgaria as X-Trail) can be considered an absolute winner. His result is 4.2 points and even premium cars can not boast of such an indicator. Rogue overtook the Ford Mustang Mach-E (7.0 points) and Honda CR-V (7.1 points) in its class.
Among the premium cars with the most comfortable seats is the Porsche 718 (4.6 points), followed by the Lexus RC (4.7 points) and the Genesis G90 (4.9 points). Among the premium crossovers, the least complaints are from Lexus UX (4.4 points), Lexus LX (5.8 points) and BMW X4 (6.1 points).
JD Power researchers draw another interesting conclusion. Faux leather armchairs have developed to such an extent that synthetic materials no longer cause negative reactions from consumers. In terms of strength, artificial leather is not inferior to natural, otherwise synthetics are cheaper and more resistant to dirt.
