By the end of the year, another BGN 800 million can be issued on the domestic market. This was stated by Finance Minister Rumen Porozhanov on the occasion of the request of GERB’s office to start preparations for issuing a new debt issue on foreign markets. He explained that with the budget update it will be clear what deficit will have to be covered by the end of the year.
About BGN 150 million is expected to be saved by the Public Investment Program “Growth and Development of the Regions”, according to the accounts of the Ministry of Finance. Porozhanov pointed out that the ministries of health and transport will not use the received BGN 24 million and BGN 15 million, respectively. The building on Skobelev Blvd., known as the “military NPC”, will also not be completed. The district prosecutor’s office of Sofia and the criminal department of the district court were supposed to be housed there, the finance minister specified.
