The career of veteran Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus began 33 years ago, and he trained 15 clubs on 3 different continents, but 4 of them were left by the former midfielder for one reason or another, before returning to training again, the latest of which was Al-Hilal, who announced his return to the team in his second experience. On the first of July 1998, the Estrella team, which belongs to the suburb of Amadora in the capital, Lisbon, signed a contract with Jorge Jesus, and secured with him a position in the middle of the standings in his first season, but the “traveler” coach decided to go through an experiment with a larger team, Vitoria Setubal.
After less than two years, Georgi returned to Estrella, specifically in January 2002, and continued with him until March of the following year.
And the life of Georgie Jesus changed in 2009 when he took over the coaching pole of Lisbon Benfica, as he showed Portugal and Europe why he is a distinguished coach, as he achieved in 6 seasons 10 championships, lost the European League final twice, and achieved historical numbers, as his match winning rate reached 70%, but he is in a way Surprisingly, he decided not to renew his contract on June 4, 2015, and just one day later he appeared on the other side of Lisbon, to be coach of Sporting, Benfica’s arch-rivals.
After more than 5 years since that decision, Jesus returned to Benfica in August 2020 with a new experience, but it was not the same as before, after he left after a year and 4 months without a championship.
