The Italian professor Alberto Grandi dares in all seriousness to break the pasta and pizza pride of his compatriots – by claiming that almost all delicacies for which Italy’s cuisine is famous around the world have been stolen. Or to stay linguistically up-to-date: The carbonara, that Mediterranean delicacy with ham, cheese, cream, egg and pepper, is a cultural appropriation!
