– The car was picked up and a person was found in the car. Life-saving first aid is underway, says rescue leader Eirik Walle at the Main Rescue Center in southern Norway to BT at 12.10 on Monday.

– The car is located at a depth of about ten meters. Fire crews from Kalvåg conduct surface rescue, fire chief Robert Endestad in Florø told BT earlier.

Operations Manager Knut Dahl-Michelsen in the West police district says that they were notified at 11.21.

– One called and said that a car had ended up in the water. He had observed two people in the car. One has come ashore. We fear that a person has been with the car in the water, says Dahl-Michelsen at 12 o’clock.

Ambulance, local police, lifeboat, air ambulance, divers from the fire service and rescue helicopter are on site.

The operations manager in the police states in a press release that a person got ashore on his own, he has been taken care of by health personnel.

There must have been two people in the car, one of them has come ashore and is conscious, the West police district stated on Twitter when the first message came.
