Pedestrians hit and injured in Gampelen
On Wednesday, a pedestrian was hit by a car in Gampelen and injured in the process. He had to be taken to the hospital. The car driver committed hit-and-run.
The accident occurred on Wednesday morning shortly before 6.40 a.m .: A pedestrian was traveling from Gampelen train station in the direction of Cudrefin when there was an accident with a car on Cudrefinstrasse somewhere between the train station and Eschenhof. This was reported by the Bern canton police late on Wednesday afternoon.
The pedestrian was hit by the vehicle, thrown to the ground and injured. The car went on without stopping. The injured man had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The Bern canton police are looking for witnesses who observed the accident. In particular, the driver of the car – according to the description a dark limousine, presumably from the Volkswagen brand – is asked to call 032 324 85 31.
