GARUT, KOMPAS.com – Facebook status of an ambulance guard volunteer at Arrowroot, West Java, viral on social media.
The volunteer told of the action of a kijang car driver who blocked the Leles Puskesmas ambulance, Friday (14/8/2020).
In fact, the ambulance was carrying a critical patient to the Dr. Slamet Garut Regional Hospital.
The Garut Police Traffic Unit immediately intervened to check the vehicle which was said to be blocking the speed of the ambulance.
Executive Daily (Plh) Head of Public Relations Sub Division of the Garut Police, Ipda, Muslih Hidayat, said that the Garut Police Traffic Unit had met the owner of the car whose number plate was mentioned by volunteer ambulance escorts.
“The team from the Traffic Police of the Garut Police, led directly by Kasatlantas, has met the car owner with the number plate mentioned by the volunteers in Sumedang,” said Muslih when confirmed, Tuesday (18/8/2020).

From the results of the police investigation, according to Muslih, it turned out that the car was not proven to have blocked the Leles Puskesmas ambulance, as was viral on social media.
“According to the owner of the vehicle, from August 6 to August 17 2020, the car never left the garage, let alone Garut,” said Muslih.

According to Muslih, this information is also in line with what was conveyed by Fauzi, a volunteer ambulance guard who initially posted the story of the Kijang car blocking the ambulance.
“Confirmation from brother Fauzi who posted an apology video to the owner of the Kijang vehicle stated that it was not the vehicle that was blocking the ambulance,” said Muslih.

Muslih said the police suspected that there were parties who deliberately faked the vehicle number.
“Maybe the police number of the vehicle was faked,” said Muslih.
