The captured leaders of the Azov were taken somewhere far away to Russia

Deputy Commander of the Azov Regiment Svyatoslav Palamar (call sign Kalina) and Commander of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Volinsky (call sign Volyn), who surrendered in Mariupol, were transferred to the territory for investigation in Russia, reported Russian media citing a source from law enforcement.

According to him, other leaders of various Ukrainian units have been transferred to Russia. At the same time, the interlocutor of the agency did not specify in which Russian region and the commanders of which units are still transferred together with Palamar and Volinsky.

Earlier, the First Deputy Minister of Information of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Daniil Bezsonov confirmed the exchange of former member of the Azov Battalion Yulia Paevskaya (call sign Taira), who was captured in Mariupol. According to Bezsonov, Paevskaya was exchanged for “very serious” people.
