Dave the Diver is a gem that doesn’t look great at all, but its gameplay is so catchy that you can stay with it for many hours. In short, the depth can captivate and just won’t let go. Head of the project Jaeho Hwang she got the idea to create this project while on vacation in Jeju Island. There he came across a restaurant whose owner caught fish in the morning and then cooked it in the evening, which really appealed to the developer. However, this was not the only factor that inspired him.
There were really a lot of cannons that served as inspiration. Hwang took as an example a number of underwater games, in addition to which he was inspired by, for example, the Metal Gear Solid or Yakuza series. For example, Dredge, praised by the critics, was quite interesting to him. Overall, there are a number of factors that can be seen when playing Dave the Diver that can be found elsewhere. However, it doesn’t matter at all, because the set works perfectly.
