A sergeant from the National Directorate of Violent Deaths (Dinased) he was surprised by the support he received from the public and his colleagues in uniform.

Now he remains in the intensive care unit of the Metropolitan Hospital. His condition is critical and that is why the Police carried out a cblood donation campaign to aid in his recovery.
On the afternoon of Saturday the 23rd, the patient was induced into a coma to protect his brain and try to improve his condition. Tomorrow they will revive him to know if there were sequelae or complications produced by the wound. The projectile entered his forehead and exited the back of his head.
Yesterday several colleagues from Villafuerte and some civilians arrived who wanted to help with a blood sample.

Captain Darwin Castillo He was a companion of Villafuerte when they both worked as investigators for the section for the disappeared at Dinased.
The officer remembers him as an agent dedicated to his work. “When we went out to look for lost people, he knew how to guide us. It was meticulous, ”he commented.
The Hospital will use any remaining pints of blood for other recovering patients.
