Washington Capitals players enjoyed the day before the match against the Arizona Coyotes with an annual charity project. They were chasing puppies instead of a puck on the ice.

In collaboration with the MSE Foundation and Wolf Trap Animal Rescue, they photographed the Caps Canine 2022 dog calendar. Proceeds from the sale go to the non-profit organization WTAR, which works to rescue pets at risk of neglect, homelessness or euthanasia.

Among the dogs were also darlings of Alex Ovečkin, TJ Oshie, and the hair of the Washington team. The four-legged friend was also assigned to the Slovak defender Martin Fehérváry, who posed for the calendar for the first time. Most dogs will be available for adoption and the calendar will go on sale later in the fall.
