The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Cantabria, which cares for four patients for Covid-19, has entered a controlled risk level this Monday, both in bed occupancy and in the seven-day admission rate. In addition, the number of hospitalized has been reduced to 50, a figure that has not been reached for more than a month.
Also, this Monday there has been no death from coronavirus, so they remain at 879 since the start of the pandemic, eleven of them in the last seven days.
However, according to the latest data from the Cantabrian Health Service (SCS) corresponding to the end of the 23rd, 148 new infections were detected among those over 60 years of age, which is 89 more than on Sunday, although it must be taken into account that during the weekend fewer tests are carried out.
In the last seven days, the positives in this age group, the only one for which case and incidence data are offered, have been 836, amounting to 1,956 at 14 days.
The incidence in people over 60 years of age continues to decline at 14 days, with 1,117 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which is 78 less than the day before; about 7 days ago, with 477 cases, 35 less than on Sunday, when it broke the downward curve with a slight rise. Both parameters remain at medium risk.

Regarding hospitalization, there are 50 patients admitted and four in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), nine less than the previous day.
In this way, hospital occupancy due to Covid has dropped four tenths, to 3.1%, at low risk, and the seven-day admission rate has fallen 1.3 points, to 18.9%, at medium risk. . In the ICU, occupancy remains at 2.8% and the admission rate has fallen three tenths, to 0.9%, so that both are at controlled risk.
28 patients are admitted to the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital, including four from the ICU, and there are 14 in the Sierrallana Hospital in Torrelavega, 5 in the Comarcal de Laredo, one in the Liencres Hospital and two in Reinosa.
With all these data on community transmission and hospitalization, Cantabria remains at level 1 of risk for coronavirus.
