A “Czech” village is hiding in the woods of Quebec, Canada. It was built by the ancestors of John Anthony, who emigrated here in 1846. He himself lives in the only house in which anyone still lives. The buildings are inspired by Czech architecture, there is also a vineyard and a church. The old owners even had old lamps brought from Prague and an infant from Tábor to the church.
The village was visited by photographer David Tešínský. His You can find the official website HERE.

I am wondering where this village is situated as the article doesn’t mention anything specific about its location…
I would like to know where this village is as well. Is it possible to buy house and live there to help to revive this beautiful village :)?
Interesting but the village looks more like an Austrian village, Czech (Slavic) villages and houses look much poorer and untidy. Maybe his ancestors are from former Sudetenland where lived mostly Germans.
The place is called Chapelle Ste Agnès Vineyard (Sutton, Canada). And it is on the list of “Ten of Quebec’s Most Beautiful Vineyards”…
Me either. It looks beautiful… Maybe we could be another Czech (and Slovak) immigrants who wake up to life this beautiful piece of land with this incredible history.
