‘Together, the safest way’ stops at Astorga. This campaign comes from Santiago, from the hand of RACE, in collaboration with other public and private organizations, and aims to reach more than half a million people in the five locations through which it passes these days: Sarria, Astorga, León, Burgos and Logroño. The goal is to make mobility safer for citizens, but mainly for the thousands and thousands of pilgrims that circulate every day along this emblematic route and for all those people who are most vulnerable, such as the elderly or children. They do it through information and other dynamic actions, for all groups, through which they instruct people in education and road safety.
In Astorga, the initiative started this Tuesday with the installation of a mobile unit in the vicinity of the Gaudí Palace, in which both on Tuesday and on Wednesday, not only informative tasks are carried out, but also activities and games for adults and children.
In addition, they have also installed ‘The Oasis of the Way’, as it passes through San Justo de la Vega, for the provisioning of pilgrims, as well as to offer them the information and advice they may need for greater safety on their trip.
The initiative ‘Together, the road is safer’, has had the support of the Astorga Town Hall.
