“In the last chapter, we really delved into the idea of what happens when a Biophage starts to take over mechanisms,” Girao said. “We worked closely with the concept art team to create an image that fits into the TCP universe. It took several iterations to create this image. We went to both extremes: sometimes too robotic, sometimes too organic.”

In addition to the Biobot, players can expect to face off against a final DLC boss. Girao revealed that the team’s goal was to showcase the power of the Kinetic Hammer and encourage players to strategize their attacks. The boss will have a similar mechanic to Jacob, the game’s protagonist, seamlessly switching between hard melee attacks and aggressive ranged attacks.
