The Cafam Theater celebrates 15 years since the curtain opened for the first time to become a cultural epicenter for all Colombians. This anniversary will be celebrated with a special concert by The orchestra of Strings of Bogota, which will present his show “From Cinema to Theater”, on February 24 and 25At 8:00 pm
The concert will be a tribute to the soundtracks of famous movies and series, performed by more than 25 artists on stage. Thus, attendees will be transported to the classic scenes of productions such as “The Pink Panther”, “King Kong”, “Spiderman”, “Thriller”, “Alice in Wonderland”, “High School Musical”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “The Simpsons”, among others .
“For 15 years, Cafam gave Bogotá and Colombia a door for art to be the axis in which society develops, sowing this paradigm of what the needs of the population should also mean. For this reason, the effort has been directed towards creating a structure with impeccable acoustics”, commented the director of culture, public relations and media at Cafam, Fernando Barrero.
The Bogotá String Orchestra, under the general direction of maestro Jorge Arciniegaswas founded in 2009. It is formed as a private cultural entity with the purpose of generating spaces for coexistence, through the creation of educational programs in the musical field, among others.
Since its creation, the orchestra It has been presented in some of the most important venues in the capital such as the Cafam Theater, the Jorge Eliécer Gaitán Theaterthe Free Theater, among others.
