The government has adopted a decision to dismiss Atanas Temelkov from the position of chairman of the State Agency for Electronic Government and to appoint Krassimir Simonski to this post, the press service of the Council of Ministers announced.
Temelkov, who was appointed to the post on January 15, 2018, was released early at his request.
Krassimir Simonski is an engineer majoring in Computer Science at the Technical University of Sofia. He holds a doctorate in science from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. From 1991 to 2002 he held the position of Director of Computers and Communications at the American University in Blagoevgrad. In the period 2007-2009 he was Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Information Technologies and Communications in the field of “Information Technologies”.
From the beginning of 2013 he was Executive Director of the Executive Agency “Electronic Communications Networks and Information Systems” until his appointment as Deputy Chairman of the newly established State Agency “Electronic Government”.
