  • A bus travels several times faster than the speed allowed on the main road Ruse – Veliko Tarnovo. The violation was filmed and posted on social networks.

Footage on social networks shows a bus with Turkish registration plates flying at 140 km/h between the villages of Kutsina and Petko Karavelovo. Residents of villages in the area say that trucks and buses have been driving without respecting the speed limit for years. Traffic is always heavy and accidents are frequent. According to the locals, it was a miracle that there wasn’t a serious accident, as is often the case there.

An accident between two trucks and two cars hampers traffic on the Elhovo – Yambol road

“The speed is respected when there is a traffic police car!” They made a walkway – an absolute mess! They go at a huge speed. An old woman starts to cross – someone stops and the other goes around her because she’s going full speed! , Valentin Simeonov told Bulgaria ON AIR.

In August, an accident near the village claimed the lives of four people. Then a Romanian bus hit a roadside tree. According to the prosecutor’s office, the main reason for the tragedy was high speed.

Police officers should be stationed at least at the beginning and end of the village! They drive like crazy, look now, the one with 60 driving in the village? It also happened that on this straight stretch they overtook each other! Forcing themselves up and down they are already flying!” said the resident of Kutsina, Ivan Genov.

Therefore, the residents of the village are calling for the installation of light signals and police patrols in the area.
