Monday morning Two people died in a traffic accident in Halden. It was a head-on accident involving a car and a bus.
– The bus driver is charged with negligently causing the death of another. The driver’s license has been seized, says lawyer on duty in the East police district, Behreng Mirzaei, to VG.
He will not give further information about why the driver has been charged, other than that the charge has been brought on the basis of witness statements and investigations carried out at the scene.
– The police have launched a broad and comprehensive investigation, where several investigative steps remain, where we seek, among other things, to uncover a clearer course of events, the police said in a press release on Tuesday afternoon.

– According to the driver’s explanation, the driver kept his file. The person does not know how the car appeared in front of the bus. Suddenly it slammed, says Fagermo.
According to the defender, the driver is very distressed, and was interviewed by the police on Monday.
The driver is charged under Section 281 of the Criminal Code, which applies to anyone who negligently causes the death of another. The penalty is up to six years.
