The Burjassot City Council signs an agreement with the San José Obrero Parish to collaborate with its Food Bank

This morning a collaboration agreement was signed between the Burjassot City Council, represented by the mayor, Rafa García, and the San José Obrero parish of the municipality, represented by the parish priest, Ramón Iceta Olaizola. The councilor for Social Services, Isabel Mora, was also present at the signing ceremony.

The purpose of the agreement is to collaborate from the Consistory, through the Department of Social Services directed by Isabel Mora, with said parish in activities related to the food bank that it manages. Thus, through this agreement, the Burjassot City Council undertakes to grant an annual subsidy, amounting to 2,000 euros and for four years, to the parish of San José Obrero, to cover the costs of transportation, distribution and distribution of food among the people and / or families of Burjassot who are in a situation of risk and social vulnerability.

For its part, the parish must guarantee the proper functioning of the food bank, keep a nominative control of the beneficiaries served and collaborate and coordinate with the Department of Social Services of Burjassot in the care of families and / or people who require assistance. the provision of food.
