/ world today news/ I stopped following the political talk of the rulers regarding the case with the South Stream gas pipeline.
Things are clear. The South Stream gas pipeline project as we all know it no longer exists. Even if there is some other flow, and it will also be southern in a peculiar way, it will be carried out without our participation. Bulgaria does not appear there.
Russia and Turkey will benefit from this new gas pipeline. It will transport gas to the countries of the European Union, but in this project we will be bypassed. Other EU member states will also be involved, we are talking about Greece. Later, this gas pipeline can be extended to Italy, and it can also go north through Macedonia to Serbia, Hungary and Austria, as far as it is decided. But Bulgaria is the only loser from all this.
Saying that we have not yet received official notification of the South Stream shutdown is just a way of obfuscating the truth. The goal is that when this new project is implemented, we can say that the new pipe is the result of geopolitical negotiations between Russia and Turkey or Russia and the EU. And we here have no hand in the development of things. However, the truth is that Sofia also to some extent played the role of the flow bypassing us, and not only the EU.
I don’t know if the Bulgarian believes in this type of talking, for one main reason – I don’t know if he already listens. To listen, you must believe and be interested in the speaker.
