The last paragraph of my book “Critical Psychology of Bulgarian History” (second edition, UI “St. Kliment Ohridski”, 2023) is entitled “Pessimistic Theory of the Bulgarian State”. In it, I claim that the Bulgarian state will be threatened for its existence if the people and the elite, together, hand over the responsibility for our own state to another “decisive” factor in the relevant historical time – before Germany and the Soviet Union, now Washington, NATO and the European union! And the outcome is – Bulgaria is an independent, free and neutral country that is not a member of any international economic, military, political and financial unions!
Against this background, the fundamental Bulgarian drama also stands out – both the “elite” and the “people” are essentially torn apart by the regulative messianic experiences of the uniquely divided Bulgarian society. It would be (to me it is) very funny if it wasn’t so sad at the same time, even today, in the current situation! What is it about?
The idiots from GERB-SDS and PP-DB obviously have the same priorities, they are equally ready to serve another foreign master – the USA, to which Bulgaria has long since become a vassal territory! At the same time, however, in a typical Bulgarian way, there is no way to understand them, because other mental factors are behind them – the Bulgarian demons, that is, whoever is more – in the 30s of the 20th century, for example, in Bulgaria there were six fascist parties, each claiming to be more fascist than the other and demanding recognition from fascist Italy and Nazi Germany?!?
Same thing today…
On the other hand, today we have several parties and especially now – non-partisan “March for Peace and Neutrality” initiative, to whose public council I have the honor to belong, who want a total revision of our Bulgarian dependence on NATO and the EU, that is, the idea of a free and neutral Bulgarian state! And what is happening at the moment – and these Bulgarian impulses – civil and party, are torn apart again, that is, here too the Bulgarian devils are tearing us apart, opposing and preventing unity. Of course, I am emotionally disgusted more by this division in our society – what prevents PP “Vazrazhdane”, “Russophiles for the Revival of the Fatherland”, PP “Attack”, etc. to join the action of us, ordinary Bulgarian citizens?!?… Most likely it’s the same – the Bulgarian devils, that is, “how can someone else, not me, lead my father’s squad”?!?… But it always happens a question not about “father’s squad”, but about the Fatherland, after all!
This is the situation, ladies and gentlemen, my dear comrades!
And this situation slowly and slowly leads to the burial of our own
