During a press conference on Friday afternoon, two more people were confirmed dead, after a building collapsed in Surfside in Miami last week.
20 people have now been confirmed dead, while 128 people have still not been accounted for.
One of the last two people found was a seven-year-old girl. The girl was the daughter of a firefighter, who has been searching the ruins since the incident occurred.

A rescue worker, who wishes to remain anonymous, has spoken to the local news channel Local10 about the find.
– The rescue workers got her out of the ruins with her father. They put a jacket and a small American flag over her on the stretcher, the rescue worker says.

Sources Miami Herald has spoken to describes a heartbreaking sight when the seven-year-old was found. Around 200 people are said to have honored the girl when she was carried out.

During Friday’s press conference, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava confirmed the finding.
– Tragically, one of the victims is the seven-year-old daughter of a firefighter in Miami, she said during the press conference.

Was warned
It has not yet been explained what caused the building to collapse.
Tuesday night reveals CNN that residents in the block were warned of major building damage just a few weeks before the incident occurred.
Decreased two millimeters annually
The chairman of the board of the building, Jean Wodnicki, said that the damage that was proven in 2018 had become significantly worse, according to the channel.
– The visible damage in the garage has become significantly worse since the first inspection. The concrete damage accelerates. The roof situation has also become much worse, Wodnicki wrote in a letter to the residents dated April 9 this year.
