Samsul Bahri (41), murderer Rangga (9), the boy who prevented him from raping his mother DA (28), had complained of shortness of breath before dying. Samsul was found dead in a detention cell when he was about to be taken to the hospital.
“At 11:30 p.m. last night, the suspect complained about the tightness again and when he was going to be brought back to the hospital the suspect was lying in the cell,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Langsa Police, Iptu, Arief Sukmo Wibowo, to reporters on Sunday (18/10/2020).
The police then took Samsul home, but the doctor said the recidivist of the murder case was dead. According to Arief, the family refused to have Samsul’s body being autopsied.
Arief explained that Samsul was taken to the hospital the day before he died due to dehydration and suffocation. After undergoing treatment, he was allowed to return to the detention cell.
“According to his cellmate, he didn’t want to eat or drink,” said Arief.
Previously, Samsul was suspected of murder Rangga for shouting to prevent the perpetrator from raping his mother, DA. The incident occurred in Birem Bayeun District, East Aceh, Aceh, Saturday (10/10) in the morning.
