The Buenos Aires Ballet presents the Ballet Gala in Paraguay on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25, at 9:00 p.m., at the Ignacio A. Pane Municipal Theater of Asunción, located in Presidente Franco between Chile and Alberdi. Tickets can be purchased at the UTS Network: G. 90,000 (Paraíso box), G. 160,000 (Tertulia box), G. 220,000 (first box) or G. 260,000 (Platea).
The show will feature the participation of the main figures of the Teatro Colón, including: Federico Fernández, Camila Bocca, Rocío Agüero, David Gómez, Milagros Niveyro, Nahuel Prozzi, Iara Fassi, Paulo Marcilio, Lola Mugica and, from Paraguay, Jiva Velázquez .

All gathered with the aim of providing a show of high artistic quality, for those interested in the value of beauty and the subtle sensitivity of this art, with the conviction of communicating through dance.
The repertoire will include the best pas de deux from the international repertoire such as: Espartaco, Giselle, La favorite, El Corsario, La Esmeralda, Rosary Sonata Duo, Tristán e Isolde, Symphony for a new world.
Buenos Aires Ballet is a company created in 2015 by Federico Fernández, principal dancer at the Teatro Colón, who created this project driven by the need to unite and expand the art of classical ballet to the most diverse stages in the country and the region. In these years they have done many performances with classic, neoclassical and contemporary programs; its cast rotates, but it is always mostly made up of performers from official ballets and particularly from Colón.
Federico Fernández, as artistic director and dancer, and Karina Battilana, as general producer, made it possible for this project to be a top-notch artistic reality.
Paraguayan. The 26-year-old compatriot dancer Jiva Velázquez has been in Buenos Aires since 2013 to join the Teatro Colón ballet, where he met Federico Fernández. In 2014 he entered as a stable dancer and in 2019 he was promoted to solo dancer. Several Argentine media echo his performance.
Jiva started dancing at the age of 6 at the Municipal Art Institute and finished her studies at the Higher Institute of Fine Arts. She was part of puts like Cinderella, Swan Lake, Sylvia, Don Quixote, The Corsair y the merry widow, among many others. She also participated in several international competitions.
“I feel very happy to return to Asunción, more so because a pandemic was involved. I am excited because I am going with very talented colleagues, something that the Paraguayan public will be able to enjoy. I will also be able to meet friends who know my work”, says Velázquez.
The Buenos Aires Ballet will perform this May 24 and 25 at the Municipal Theater. Outstanding dance figures from the Teatro Colón will show their art, including the Paraguayan Jiva Velázquez.
