The first serious clash between the BSP-Sofia leadership and Vanya Grigorova over the management of the capital.
The executive bureau of the party, together with the leadership of the BSP-Sofia city organization, decided at a general meeting that there will be no negotiations on a common management program with PP-DB, “Positano” 20 reported.
The BSP will only support Diana Tonova, who is the candidate nominated by the party for the chairman of the Metropolitan Municipal Council, “Positano” adds. The only negotiations that the left will conduct will be those on the priorities of the BSP, which will be included in the budget of Sofia for 2024, added the party.
On Friday, Vanya Grigorova, who was nominated for mayor by a red coalition, announced that there was a “more constructive conversation about the governance of Sofia, in the format of MK “BSP” together with PP-DB-SS and Vasil Terziev”. She specified, that a document was sent by the PP-DB-SS, which reflected their views on the work in the Metropolitan Municipality.
“Within today we will supplement it and the expectation is that we will meet tomorrow to look at the combined document and how far we can stand behind the specific measures included in it. The document should describe measures, a schedule for putting in reports and their vote,” Grigorova clarified.
However, the leadership of BSP-Sofia has apparently decided that there will be no negotiations with PP-DB.
