The Brotherhood of Black step was done with first prize of the Nativity Scene Contest of this Christmas 2020-2021 that came to an end a few days ago, which for another year has been summoned by the Huércal-Overa City Council within the category of associations.
The Good Friday corporation from Huercalense (with the permission of the Friday of Dolores), returned to make a monumental nativity scene in which no detail was missing. It could be visited until last January 6 at its Brotherhood House located on Avenida Guillermo Reyna.
It must be remembered that this Huercalense corporation was the first in the municipality to set up a nativity scene so that all neighbors and visitors could contemplate it during Christmas.
Another brotherhood, that of White Pass, got el second prize in this contest of nativity scenes in the aforementioned category of associations and entities also with the realization of a monumental Nativity that has been seen during these last days of December and first of January.
Along with this, in addition, the The brotherhood also organized during these dates the campaign to collect food for the most needy. In these very significant parties, Paso Negro wanted to collaborate and help all those who need it.
Thus, every Christmas afternoon they have collected milk, non-perishable products, colacao, nesquik, eko, broth tetrabrik, noodles and a long etcetera, which have been destined for the most disadvantaged.
In another vein, the Brotherhood of Paso Negro awaits the arrival of the Virgen del Río back to the town after the restoration process to which it is being subjected in Arboleas by the Almeria restorer Joaquín Gilabert. Soon, the village’s popular co-patron will return to her village.
