A fashion that doesn’t just stop at cars, it also cuts across other objects.
A trend that is constantly growing and today, as far as the world of four routes is concerned, excellent deals and incredible purchases can be made. Consequently very difficult to find.
An incredible supercar is back on sale. Only 23 were produced
This is the story of the MG SV-R XPower, the supercar of the well-known English brand. Let’s point it out right away, it’s one of only 23 SV-Rs built. And this would be enough to explain what we are talking about. One of the last models of this car to leave the MG factory. A brand that has only recently returned to the European markets, with its SUVs. Something totally different from the history of this brand and its iconic spiders.
The MG SV-R XPower however has a totally different story. Unveiled in 2002, it was to be the flagship of the post-BMW house. Its history began with the acquisition by MG/Rover of the Italian Qvale Automotive, manufacturer of the Qvale Mangusta. Which had already been approved for the US market.
The best starting point for this supercar, at least in intentions. The MG X80 concept car arrived in 2011, the design of this car was then revised to then arrive at the result that landed on the market in those years. Carbon fiber bodywork, like the Mangusta. Made in England and assembled in Italy. To then return to the UK, for the chassis and the final finishing touches.
The MG supercar: everything you need to know
The car for sale is silver with a red and black interior. Its previous owner bought it in 2011. Excellent condition, it has been driven 4023.36 km. Engine chapter: Ford V8 with 320 HP. From 0 to 100 in 5.3 seconds, top speed 265 km/h. There is also an even more powerful version, with 385 hp.
In 2003 the first example was produced which cost almost 75,000 euros, unfortunately however the SV had arrived too late to help save the MG, and by the time the factory closed its gates in 2005. However, at least one model of this supercar is back on sale in a London dealership (DD Classics).
Left-hand drive (the car was produced and sold for the English market), manual gearbox, 5.0L cubic capacity, petrol. A real gem for those who can afford to spend just over 100,000 euros.
