The project with the official name Crossrail was originally scheduled to be completed in December 2018. The construction will eventually cost £ 18.9 billion (CZK 553.3 billion), about a quarter to be paid by the government.

The runway is over a hundred miles from Heathrow Airport in the west of the metropolis to Shenfield in the east. It will build at 41 stops, ten of which are newly built. The first passengers will ride on the new line on May 24.
