The British Embassy in Russia is studying the circumstances of the incident at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport, where, according to telegram channels, British Deputy Ambassador Tom Dodd attacked journalists. The press service of the diplomatic mission reported this to RBC.

Previously October 23 about the incident reported the Shot telegram channel. According to him, Dodd was accompanied at the airport by the arrival of the head of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorate (EECAD), Christopher Allan, and his deputy, Lorraine Fassey.

When journalists, some of whom were Russian, tried to ask the diplomats a question, Dodd “snatched the badge of one of the press representatives and soon pushed the girl with the microphone who was asking him a question.”

The representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, in response to the incident, said that British officials do not know what freedom of speech and respect for the profession of journalist are.

The British Embassy said British diplomats in Russia “regularly face harassment” in their service.
