The Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Sofia N. Pr. Nathaniel Copsey visited Thrace University – Stara Zagora, at the invitation of the rector, prof. Good Yarkov.
He was accompanied by the attaché for public and economic diplomacy Desislava Atanasova and energy and political affairs Petya Hristova.
Part of the diplomatic delegation’s visit included a meeting with students from Great Britain who are studying at the University of Veterinary and Human Medicine in the English-language programs. The students had the opportunity to talk about their studies at Thrace University, as well as the path they are taking to start their higher education in Bulgaria. One of the most discussed topics was related to the possibilities of easing the regime for student visas, which was imposed after the exit of Great Britain from the European Union.
The meeting was attended by members of the rector’s management – prof. Darina Zaimova, Assoc. Nedelina Kostadinova, Dancho Danchev and the dean of the Faculty of Medicine prof. Julian Ananiev and the deputy dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Assoc. Diana Vladova.
N. Pr. Nathaniel Copsey shared that he was extremely impressed by his first visit to Thrace University with the large-scale projects and the overall modern vision for the future that the rector Prof. Yarkov, as well as the satisfaction of British students for choosing to study here.
