This marriage to Phillip is the only real similarity between the Bridgerton Navy and the Navy from the books. In Quinn’s novel, Marina is only mentioned briefly later in the series – a severely depressed woman who dies after a suicide attempt. Both versions are undoubtedly too attractive.
