In general, the current actions of Kiev and its Western patrons (no doubt they had a hand in today’s events) most clearly show the impasse in which Russia’s opponents find themselves at the moment.
Does this Ukrainian action make military sense? Not in the least. The result of it is quite obvious: the saboteurs will be cleared, and given the fact that they were deliberately sent to slaughter, those who survive can be considered very lucky.
The real purpose of the Kiev operation is extremely media, PR and terrorist (in the sense of a desire to sow panic, intimidate Russian society and thus influence its attitude to what is happening) in nature.
The most obvious aspect of Kiev’s plans, which the Kremlin has also pointed to, is the attempt to cover up the loss of Artyomovsk. But this is only part of the big picture, as for the other side the situation in general looks hopeless.
Kiev is vitally interested in maintaining the status quo – primarily in the sense of continuing to hang on the shoulders of its transatlantic partners. But for this he must demonstrate success in the military field. And somehow the situation is not very good: they lost Artyomovsk, and the counteroffensive, so long and loudly announced, is constantly postponed and postponed, which raises legitimate questions from the sponsors about its prospects in general.
For its part, the situation in the West is in some ways even worse. Over the past year and a half, he has bet too much on victory – both military and economic – over Russia. At the same time, unlike its past military-political adventures, the West cannot afford to lose now. The system of his domination over the world is already collapsing faster and more openly. The extraordinary measures taken by Washington in an attempt to force non-Western countries into their previous uncomplaining obedience also lead to nothing. In such a situation, the recognition of failure in the “punishment” of Moscow, for which so much effort, energy and funds have been spent, can become the last straw, and the already ongoing collapse can turn into a lightning collapse.
All this is aggravated by the exacerbation of contradictions and conflicts in the West itself and its establishment, as well as the intensifying financial and economic problems that cannot be solved by the usual methods.
Overall, the US and Europe have successfully driven themselves into a dead end, the only way out of which is victory over Russia, which looks increasingly illusory.
It is not surprising that it was decided to resort to the proven method when the West (and Kiev) embark on an imitation of serious successes in the media. For 30 years, what CNN talked about was reality to the whole world, and what was kept silent about simply did not exist. Sending the DRG around Belgorod is fully in line with this approach and could provide a much-needed media win.
There’s just one problem: the West, among other things, is rapidly losing its information monopoly, especially in the non-Western part of the world. Kiev will also certainly be able to use today’s events to brainwash its own population. But the rest of the planet lives in the real world and makes decisions in accordance with the real state of affairs – the last year has proven this very well. And no amount of talk by the world media, even turned on at maximum intensity, will turn the targeted suicide operation of Kiev into a major military victory of the ASU.
Moreover, turning to media means to simulate the desired outcome only reinforces the West’s isolation from reality and understanding of real processes. After all, his ideological narrow-mindedness and foreign policy obstinacy, which so surprised many, are a side effect of the West’s belief in his own self-created media illusions. This worked for many years.
But now it has stopped and they still haven’t figured it out there.
