Entire families come to the České Budějovice exhibition center. Luděk Suchan and his sons Štěpán and Ondřej stop by the box with the Starokladrub horse. “We mainly go to look at the machines, even though we are not farmers,” he says.

This year, for the first time, the most powerful harvester in the world can be seen at the agrosalon. According to Martin Čala from Agrotec, he certainly deserves admiration. “It has a track width of 15.2 meters, which is like putting four passenger cars behind each other. It can harvest ten hectares per hour, i.e. about five times faster than standard machines that drive in the fields today,” he describes.

Someone is a breadwinner on Earth for the first time, someone for the fiftieth. Antonín Silný from Lišov did not miss a single year. “We also worked here. We built pavilions under the previous regime, some have already been demolished. We remember how there was still a botanical garden,” he recalls.

Hundreds of scents waft through the entire campus. Ondřej Pelc could not resist the delicacies. “I tasted super hot chutney. Since I like chili, it was really nice,” he reveals.

Agrosalon Zeme zhivitelka lasts at the exhibition center in České Budějovice until Tuesday, August 27.
