After two seasons marked by the seal of success, the adaptation of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video will soon be back for a third season. During this season, viewers should be able to follow the adaptation of the Herogasm arc, which is particularly daring in the comics.
Fans of the work of Garth Ennis and followers of the television series know it, The Boys totally breaks the codes of the superheroic story. Violent, subversive, placing superheroes in the role of dangerous marketing products, The Boys like to push the limits and destroy the model of righteous heroes.
The Boys Season 3: The adaptation of the Herogasm arc prohibited for minors?
In the comics, the word limit is a dirty word, but the adaptation has remained a wee bit wiser, constantly (and successfully) staying on the edge. But with season 3, expected for thenext June 5 on Amazon Prime Video, things could change. Indeed, this season will be that of adaptation of the Herogasm arc, in which Hughie and Butcher find themselves facing a gigantic orgy, organized by the set of superheroes for superheroes. This screenplay arc does not hesitate to be sexually very explicitand it seems very difficult to adapt the story of this arc without the sex scenes being very prominent.
It is not yet known whether the relevant sequences will be censored. or not, but if they are not, they could be classified X, and therefore -18 with us. It was Eric Kripke, showrunner of the series, who explained it by saying that subscribers would be entitled to a “full” Herogasm experience and that if censorship did not hide part of what was shot, the episode(s) concerned would be “definitely rated X”.
Jensen Ackles in turn brings up the subject!
The subject hasn’t been on the table since, but recently it’s Jensen Acklesknown for his role as Dean Winwhester in Supernatural and that of Soldier Boy in The Boyswho mentioned the subject:

I think everyone knows that they somehow managed to approach Herogasm for this season. I wouldn’t say how they did it but… hell! I’ll tell you a little story. I was walking on set, not to say I was in the scene being filmed, but I was working that day, and walked over to our camera operator. He was eating a sandwich off the set and he had his mask down. He looked really confused and I asked him, ‘Hey man, what’s up? How’s it going?’, and he was like, ‘Man, I’ve seen these stuff today (shit, depending on the context editor’s note)…”(…)
It would therefore seem that it is a question of taking this bow head on! It remains to know in what form all this will be presented to us, knowing that the adaptation sometimes deviates from the original narration for the needs of the show. To discover what Herogames has in store for us in serial version, it will however be necessary wait for episode 6, which will only be broadcast on June 24!
