The ex-wife of boxer Dmitry Bivol has enthusiastically celebrated his defeat to Artur Beterbiev last weekend, declaring ‘karma has led to fools’.
Bivol and Beterbiev meet in a historic showdown. In Riyadh Saudi ArabiaSaturday night in a bout to crown the first undisputed champion in the light heavyweight division in 22 years.
Beterbiev scored a highly controversial points victory with Bivol’s promoter Eddie Hearn claiming the judge who awarded the fight 116-112 in Beterbiev’s favor ‘should never work in boxing again’.
The decision, which handed Bivol the first loss of his career, caused an uproar among boxing fans. But not everyone was that upset.
Ekaterina Bivol hosted a live stream during the tense moments as the judges’ scores were read out on Saturday night, and couldn’t contain her joy when her ex-husband was declared the loser.
Smiling and clapping when Beterbiev was announced as the new world champion, she exclaimed, ‘Artur, Artur, yes! Thank you, God. Artur, congratulations.
‘Because karma has reached Bivol. Fuck, really, you deserve it, you idiot.’

Dmitry and Ekaterina married in October 2013 and have been married for over 10 years and have two sons.
They announced their bitter breakup last year. Their split was widely publicized, with Ekaterina alleging emotional abuse and controlling behavior during their marriage.

Ekaterina also claimed through her social media channels that her ex-husband beat her, told her to have an abortion and accused her of failing to financially support their two children.
She also revealed the injuries and physical issues that have affected Bivol over the years, information that will no doubt be welcomed by his opponents in the ring.
‘I want to tell you everything I know. I have a stress fracture in my back, I’ve never had surgery on all of my hands, one elbow is definitely sore, my knee is very sore, and my left ear continues to swell. ‘ Catherine wrote.
‘I’ve had multiple broken eyes and fluid has built up in my eyes several times, making it difficult to see at times. But most importantly, he is a coward! We need your victory, Artur.’
