On February 15, a woman was attacked by a complete stranger in the Mladost district of the capital. This time the attack happened while she was waiting at a traffic light in her car. In January, there were reports of a series of cases where a woman attacked other women for no reason. The attacker was then detained.
Two of the injured women, who became the object of the latest attacks, told on the air of “Hello, Bulgaria” that they did not provoke the aggression against them in any way.
“I was in my vehicle. I was on my way home from work on February 15th. I saw a middle-aged woman who was not crossing where she should. I waited for her to cross and when she reached my car she opened the door. I started pulling, pulling the door to close it”, claims Milyana.
According to her, what she experienced was a big shock, but she did not report it to the police.
“A few months ago I parked in front of my block. When this woman saw me, she got on the front hood and started insulting me with vulgar epithets. While she was banging on the windshield, I was calling the emergency number 112. This woman is an acquaintance of the entire area,” Nadezhda also points out.
ABOUTt police say the woman was taken into custody months ago but is now at large again because prosecutors refused to issue an arrest warrant as she is expected to get outt psychiatric examinations.
