With 232 years old and after the inauguration by King Carlos III, the Botanical Garden; in the Tenerife municipality of Cross port; it has become one of the main tourist, cultural and environmental attractions on the island and the Canary archipelago.
Due to the health crisis caused by Covid-19, which affected the vast majority of companies and leisure centers, and in which the public could enjoy nature and its gastronomy, the center was forced to close its doors when the Government approved the state of alarm.
After almost five months the La Orotava Acclimatization Garden closed to the public (name that was coined in its origins) has adapted to the new normal with the necessary security measures that they will allow visitors to enjoy a natural space with exotic and endemic plant species and will soon be new extensions.
